The Book of Matthew (#2)
Obedience: The Cost and Reward!
May 13, 2007
Eric Hesselbach | Matthew 1:18-1:25
If Joseph would have made everyone’s opinion of him his top priority, he would have turned his back on God’s call on his life. The Bible says that the cost of serving God may be a lack of pleasing man. Instead of Living to Please, we must seek to Live to Contribute (Not a sprint, it’s a marathon). How do we apply this life of obedience? What is God doing in our lives as individuals? Are we making enough silent time for you to hear God? Examples of Obedience: doing good at work or school, friendships, helping at the gatherings, making time for family, setting plans for the future.
